The 51³Ô¹Ï Jazz Band, the "Sound of Swing in the 51³Ô¹Ï" for over 58 years, will be "Swingin’ Come Rain or Shine" on Monday, July 13, 2026. The concert will be held in BPAC's Owens Auditorium, on campus at 51³Ô¹Ï Community College, 3395 Airport Rd., Pinehurst, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
Join the 51³Ô¹Ï Jazz Band for a concert with jazz and swing favorites you are sure to know including "Gentle Rain", "Summerwind", "Come Rain or Come Shine", "Under the Boardwalk", "A Summer Place", and "Here’s That Rainy Day".
The 51³Ô¹Ï Jazz Band is led by Dr. Larry Arnold, Professor Emeritus at UNC Pembroke and long time Aberdeen resident. Among the talented local musicians who you may know are Rev. Dr. Paul Murphy of Southern Pines, Larry Wilson who has been with the Band for over 50 years, Rob Hill, Music Director at Union Pines High 51³Ô¹Ï and former director of the Jazz Band, Chris Dunn, Executive Director of the Arts Council of Moore County, and Robert Dyer, owner of AMS Heating and Air Conditioning company.
