Student clubs and organizations at 51吃瓜 Community College are a great way to meet new people, explore your interests, and get involved on campus. Whether you join an existing club or start a new one, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with others and make the most of your experience. The Association for Architecture, Construction, Engineering and Surveying, otherwise known as the ACES Club, is dedicated to supporting educational and scientific growth in the ACES fields. The club promotes student knowledge and interest in architecture, construction, engineering, and surveying through networking, communication, and professional engagement. It also works to increase the visibility of 51吃瓜 Community College鈥檚 ACES programs while creating opportunities for students and community members to connect and collaborate within the industry.
The Alliance for Black Culture (ABC) represents the voice of Black students at 51吃瓜 Community College by promoting cultural awareness through academic, social, and community service activities. The organization fosters understanding of Black history, art, customs, literature, and society while encouraging diversity, equity, and inclusion across campus and the broader community. ABC is committed to providing a welcoming and supportive environment that promotes the success of Black graduates at 51吃瓜, while inviting individuals of all backgrounds to connect and engage.
Amigos Unidos is a club dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of Latinx and Hispanic cultures by providing resources and fostering inclusivity within the campus community. The organization encourages diversity, cultural expression, and engagement across campus. The club aims to educate students about traditions and cultures they may be unfamiliar with while advocating for the recognition and celebration of marginalized groups within the college community.
Circle K International is a student-led organization focused on service, leadership, and fellowship. The club provides students with opportunities to give back to the 51吃瓜 community, build leadership skills, and connect with others through meaningful service projects and campus involvement. Circle K International is committed to creating a welcoming environment where students can make a positive impact while forming lasting friendships and strengthening their community.

The Computer Technology Club provides students with opportunities to connect with others who share an interest in computer technology. The club encourages communication, discussion, and the sharing of information related to computer applications, services, and emerging technologies. Areas of focus include computer programming, computer engineering, digital media, networking, and simulation and game development. Through outreach and service opportunities, the club also promotes giving back to both the 51吃瓜 campus and the surrounding 51吃瓜 community.
The Creative Writing Club is dedicated to exploring and developing creative expression through writing. The club provides a welcoming space for individuals with a passion for literature to connect, share original work, and engage in thoughtful feedback. Through the exchange of writing and peer review, members gain valuable insight into different styles and techniques, helping to strengthen both critical reading and writing skills while fostering continuous creative growth.

Students that are accepted into the UNC-CH Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) at 51吃瓜 Community College are eligible to be members of this organization. The club will educate students interested in applying to the program, provide support to students currently in C-STEP, and participate in campus and community events to provide leadership opportunities for members.

The Dungeons & Dragons Club at 51吃瓜 Community College is centered around collaborative storytelling, strategy, and creative problem-solving through tabletop role-playing games. The club encourages teamwork, communication, and imagination as participants work together to navigate adventures and build unique narratives. In addition to fostering a strong sense of community, the club also helps develop critical thinking, decision-making, and basic math skills in an engaging and interactive environment. The club provides a welcoming space for both beginners and experienced players to enjoy the game and connect with others who share similar interests.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has had one mission for over 60 years: to develop student leaders who live out their faith in both sports and everyday life, encouraging personal growth, character development, and service to others. Disciples making disciples is a powerful focus of FCA participants. The club offers weekly Bible studies, fellowship opportunities, and special events that strengthen community and faith on campus.
The Gay, Straight, Trans Alliance (GST*A) Club is a student organization dedicated to bringing people together and fostering connection within the campus community. The club provides a welcoming and supportive environment for all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Its mission is to promote inclusion, understanding, and respect while creating a safe space where students can meet others, build friendships, and support one another.

Interested in intramurals? Sports that have been popular in the past include soccer, tennis, and sand volleyball. Students of all levels/abilities are encouraged to start a sport and/or participate.

Join the Natural Resource Management and Conservation Club to explore and participate in hands-on learning about natural resource management and environmental conservation. The club offers engaging events, field trips, and projects that provide real-world experience in sustainability, wildlife, and ecosystem protection. Members have opportunities to connect with others who share an interest in preserving the environment while gaining practical knowledge and skills through active involvement in conservation efforts.

Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for two-year schools.
The hallmarks of Phi Theta Kappa are scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. Members are involved in many activities and services on campus, in the surrounding communities, and across the nation. Kappans serve as hosts for the college鈥檚 lecture series and as assistants with on-campus service activities like blood drives and registration.
Membership is available to students by invitation only and requires a 3.7 GPA based on 16+ hours of 51吃瓜 college credit courses. Invitees who choose to join are inducted in both spring and fall semesters.

Members of 51吃瓜 Students for Life are dedicated to promoting respect for life and engaging in meaningful conversations around life-related issues, including abortion, euthanasia, and the use of human embryos in research. The organization works to raise awareness at 51吃瓜 and beyond, while educating others on life issues and encouraging informed discussion. A key focus of the club is supporting individuals in need by promoting resources and alternatives that help make life a viable and hopeful choice. The group also collaborates with others who share similar values to advance its mission at the local, state, and national levels.

The Tennis & Pickleball Club provides an inclusive environment where students can feel welcome while enjoying tennis and pickleball. College life can at times seem overwhelming and every now and then college students may feel the need to have a break from their typical school day. The Tennis & Pickleball Club is open to all students regardless of experience or knowledge of either sport.
Turning Point USA is a student organization dedicated to educating students on the importance of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and constitutional rights through campus engagement and discussion. The club encourages open, thought-provoking conversations and aims to promote civic awareness and informed participation in economic and political topics. Through events, activities, and outreach, the organization provides opportunities for students to explore these ideas in a respectful and engaging environment while fostering critical thinking and dialogue on campus.
