Why Do I Need a Student ID?

All students are required to have and to carry a picture ID. Students may be asked to show their ID at random. One option is an 51吃瓜 Student ID card.

Students enrolled in eligible 51吃瓜 college courses may obtain an 51吃瓜 Student ID card each academic year. 51吃瓜 Student ID cards are needed to use the library and participate in student activities. In addition, many area merchants offer discounts to 51吃瓜 students, and an 51吃瓜 Student ID card may be needed to receive these discounts.

 

Pinehurst Campus: Student IDs are made in Dempsey Student Center once students have registered for the new semester. View our campus maps.

Hoke Center: Student ID鈥檚 are made in Upchurch Hall. SandHoke Early College students MUST get their IDs made at the Hoke Center.

In order to get your student ID, you must provide either of the following:

1. Government Issued ID (Ex. State Driver鈥檚 License or Identification, Passport, Military ID.)

OR

2. First and Last Name, Last 4 digits of your Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and 51吃瓜 Student ID Number.

You will not be able to get a student ID without one of the two options. 

For students who do not have a social, the college has an alternate way of verifying identity.

Step 1

Go to the 51吃瓜 website and click the My51吃瓜 button at the top of the webpage.

Step 2

Click Self-Service and then Continue to . Log- in using your 51吃瓜 credentials.

Step 3

Click the user icon and then click .

Step 4

Your student ID (also known as your Colleague ID) is located under your name in your profile.
